2025 ACVS Surgery Summit On-Demand Content: This hybrid laboratory discusses an open dorsal approach to the distal interphalangeal joint, debride the articular cartilage, and prepare the dorsal surface of the middle phalanx and the dorsal proximal surface of the distal phalanx for application of a custom arthrodesis plate. Under radiographic guidance the plate will be applied along with transarticular screws in lag fashion. The custom designed plate will be applied through a single skin incision without penetration of the hoof wall.
