Small Animal Keynote Lecture: Optimizing Artificial Chordae Length and Annuloplasty Sizing for Enhanced Mitral Valve Repair Outcomes
Agenda
In mitral valve repair, it is essential to determine the optimal length of the artificial chordae tendineae and the size of the annulus during surgery. In this keynote, we discuss the methods of estimating the appropriate length of the chordae tendineae and the size of the annuloplasty using transesophageal echocardiography —the technique of chordal replacement and annuloplasty based on this measurement, and the resulting findings.
